23rd ANNUAL HOLIDAY LIGHTS PARADE SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3rd, 2023 BEGINNING AT 6:00 PM

'Tis the Season! We Invite you to help fill the hearts of people of all ages with the spirit of the holidays. Participation in year's Holiday light Parade is a terrific opportunity for you, your family, co-workers. church or service club friends to have some holiday fun and help entertain our community.

Following are some general parade rules and suggestions

1) Applications must be filled out no later than Friday, December 1st. If you sign up, you are accepted unless told otherwise. You will not get an acceptance email.

2) Be inventive, be creative. and the #1 rule Is to have fun! ....use multiple strings of fights on vehicles, glow sticks, flashlights, etc.

3) NO REAL LIVE SANTAS ON YOUR ENTRY.
Santa will make an official arrival, however, a mechanized Santa or Santa component is OK.

4) Parade entries are asked to check in and assemble at the Salvation Army parking lot on S. 6th Avenue. starting around 4 p.m. Entries are encouraged to have recognizable signage so that spectators & Judges will know who you are.

5) Awards: We do not give awards for this parade. It’s just for fun.

6) For safety purposes, please do not throw candy or other items that may encourage children to enter the street.

7) Equestrian units or any one with live animals must provide their own pooper scooper.

Participants are invited to park at the Yakima Transit Center and come to the Plaza for a program of holiday music, the awards ceremony and tree lighting.
